Thank you for visiting our website.  In the fall of 2009, Olander Elementary became Olander School for Project Based Learning.  Olander is in its sixth year of integrating Project Based Learning into our school curriculum. At Olander, we strive every day to teach children to communicate effectively, solve problems, understand and cooperate with others, to appreciate and care for the world we live in, and to be lifelong learners. Our professional staff is committed to help each individual student achieve his or her greatest educational potential.

Mar. 6 - PTO Meeting, 6:30 pm

Mar. 8 - Kindergarten Rodeo

Mar. 9 - No School, Teacher Work Day

Mar. 12-16 - Spring Break

Project-based learning, or PBL, is the use of classroom projects, intended to bring about deep learning, where students use technology and inquiry to engage with issues and questions that are relevant to their lives. These classroom projects are used to assess student's subject matter competence compared to traditional testing.
